WORKING LOCALLY TO BUILD GREAT COMMUNITIES. The mission of United Way of Hunt County is to help all citizens of Hunt County achieve financial stability, improve education and promote healthier living. In achieving this mission, UWHC will organize to assess and address the needs of all residents of Hunt County, cooperating with other agencies currently offering services. We will encourage volunteerism and collective problem-solving.
MAKING GREAT THINGS HAPPEN IN HUNT COUNTY FOR 70+ YEARS. United Way of Hunt County was formed in 1950 under Greenville United Fund. The nonprofit corporation was organized to bring people together in a united appeal to all possible campaigns of community-accepted health, welfare, and recreational agencies, including local, state, and national service organizations.
TAKING STEPS TO MOVE TOWARD AN INCLUSIVE FUTURE. United Way of Hunt County is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to the principle of diversity. We value, champion, and embrace diversity in all aspects of United Way of Hunt County in full compliance with all state and federal laws and regulations. All funding agencies sign a Standards of Excellence form, including nondiscrimination against the client’s acknowledgment. We support equal employment opportunity programs and refuse to engage in improper discrimination or harassment. UWHC seeks to represent our community with its volunteers and board members.
